y·Determination of FeO Magnetic Powder Particle Size
Subject Content and Scope of Application
This standard specifies the determination method of FeO magnetic powder particle size for magnetic recording, HG/T2347.7-92
This standard is applicable to the determination of FeO magnetic powder and modified FezO magnetic powder particle size for magnetic recording. 2 Reference Standards
GB_6682·Laboratory Water Specifications
3 Method SummarybZxz.net
This method uses an ultrasonic generator to prepare a water suspension of FeO magnetic powder, takes pictures, processes and enlarges them into pictures with an electron microscope, and then uses a ruler to measure the long (L) and short (W) axis values of individual particles in the pictures. 4 Reagents
Distilled water: Conforms to the third-grade water in GB6682. 5 Instruments
5.1 Electron microscope: magnification greater than 30,000; 5.2 Ultrasonic generator;
5.3 Carbon-coated copper mesh for electron microscope, pore size required to be 50~100μm; 5.4 Ruler: accuracy 0.5mm.
6 Determination steps
6.1 Sample preparation
Take about 0.05g Y·Fe,O, magnetic powder sample and put it in a weighing bottle. Add about 15mL of distilled water and place it in an ultrasonic generator. After dispersion for 15min, use a dropper to drop 12 drops of this water suspension on the carbon-coated mesh and dry it under an infrared lamp for later use. 6.2 Determination
Put the prepared sample film in an electron microscope, select the magnification according to the particle size, and then select the most representative area of m or more for photographing and processing to obtain a photograph magnified m times. Use a ruler to measure the actual long axis L and short axis W values of Y·FcO and the magnetic powder particles according to the scale on the film.
7 Calculation of results
The major axis L of the particle is calculated according to formula (1):
The standard approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on June 1992, Jiesou.com bza
All standard industry materials are free to download
Implementation on March 1993
The minor axis W of the particle is calculated according to formula (2):
The particle axis ratio X is calculated according to formula (3):
HG/T2347.7
In the formula: LLz, LL are the lengths of a single Fe, O, magnetic powder particle respectively; - are the widths of a single Fe, O, magnetic powder particle respectively; W..WW.....W.
is greater than 50.
