Fatigue Test Method for Weld Metal and Welded Joint GB2656-81
1When fatigue test is carried out on weld metal and welded joint, the endurance strength (α-1) and stress-revolution curve under symmetrical alternating load shall be measured.
2The size and shape of the test specimen are shown in Figure 1 or Figure 2. The specimen in Figure 1 is tested on a "Nu" type testing machine, and the specimen in Figure 2 is tested on a "Moore" type testing machine. 8

3The sampling position of weld metal fatigue test specimens can refer to the provisions of GB2649-81 "Method for Sampling of Mechanical Properties of Welded Joints". The sampling position of weld joint fatigue test is stipulated in the corresponding technical conditions. The weld is located in the middle of the specimen, and the reinforcement part must be cut off. bzxZ.net
4 The number of specimens for fatigue test shall not be less than 6. 5The measurement of the specimen, the requirements for the testing machine, and the calculation of the test results shall be in accordance with the provisions of YB40--64 "Metal Bending Fatigue Test Method".
6 The test report should include the specimen type, size, sampling location, measured endurance strength (0-1 kgf/mm2), stress-revolution curve, fracture location and characteristics, and the presence or absence of pores, cracks, slag inclusions or other defects.
