This standard is mainly applicable to the casting drums for wire ropes (hereinafter referred to as drums) used for bridge cranes and gantry cranes. The drums used by other cranes can also be used for reference.
2 Types and sizes
The drum structure is divided into 4 types: A, B, C, and D. As shown in Figure 1 and Figure 4. It is recommended to use A and B types first. The drum dimensions should comply with the provisions of Tables 1 to 4 respectively. For examples of drum assembly structures, see Appendix A (suggested appendix).
