This standard is formulated based on the "Evaluation Standard for Basic Control of Keshan Disease Areas" in the "Keshan Disease Prevention and Control Work Standard (Trial)" and in accordance with the background of Keshan disease and the current status of prevention and control work in my country. This standard provides a unified standard that can be followed for the assessment and acceptance of basic control of Keshan disease areas across the country. Appendix A of this standard is the appendix to the standard. This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. This standard was drafted by the Yunnan Keshan Disease Prevention and Control Research Center. The drafter of this standard is Niu Cunlong.
This standard is interpreted by the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, the technical management unit entrusted by the Ministry of Health. 491

3 Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions.
Areas (counties) where Keshan disease is basically controlled: There is a sound prevention and control network, and comprehensive prevention and control measures are taken according to local conditions After implementation, the incidence of Keshan disease reaches the disease control index in the district (county).
4 Disease control indexwww.bzxz.net
When the Keshan disease disease reaches the following control index through prevention and control, it can be identified as a basically controlled Keshan disease area (basic control of Keshan disease areas is based on counties).
4.1 The annual incidence of acute and subacute Keshan disease in the county is less than 1.0/100,000 for more than 5 consecutive years. 4.2 The annual incidence of natural chronic Keshan disease in the county is less than 4.0/100,000 for more than 5 consecutive years. 4.3 A number of villages (townships) in the disease area are selected using a stratified sampling survey method. A census was conducted among 500 high-risk people, and the latent type detection rate was less than 3.0%.

Procedure for the assessment and acceptance of the sputum areas for basic control of Keshan diseaseA1 The assessment and acceptance of the sputum areas for basic control of Keshan disease should be carried out from the aspects of organizational leadership, prevention and control measures and disease control indicators. A2 The sputum areas for basic control of Keshan disease are based on counties. After the sputum areas and counties meet the standards according to this standard, they will be reported to the province, and the provincial endemic disease office will organize the assessment and acceptance and then approve them.
A3 The province will assess the sputum areas and counties for basic control of Keshan disease one by one, and then report them to the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Health’s National Endemic Disease Prevention and Control Office will organize the assessment and acceptance and then approve them.
