This standard specifies the level and classification of tropical cyclones in my country's top warning area. Original: GB/T19201—2003
This standard is also related to the business and scientific research of tropical cyclones in my country's government warning area. The business regulations on tropical cyclones can be implemented in accordance with the standard.
2 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are provided in this standard: 2.1
Tropical climate family
A system of non-surface vortices formed over tropical or subtropical surfaces, with organized convection and definite atmospheric circulation, including tropical winds, tropical cyclones and sheet winds. 2. 2
Wind force scale
Wind force scale is also called wind grade, which is the grade determined according to the influence of ground (or sea) objects in the recent period, and is the estimated wind speed for the past few days. The common wind force scale was formulated by the British in 1915, so it is called "energy scale" in this paper. Since 1912, there are 13 levels in total. Since 1946, the wind force scale has been expanded to 18 levels (C-1? level). The scale table is shown in Appendix A.

4 Tropical air energy level
4.1 Principles of tropical air energy level classification
The tropical air energy level classification is based on the maximum average wind speed near the bottom center. 4.2 Tropical air energy level classification
Tropical cyclones are divided into four levels: tropical depression, belt wind effect, tropical non-storm and typhoon. The maximum average wind speed near the center of the tropical atmosphere can reach 1n.8m/6.~17.m/= (with force 6-=7> as tropical depression, reaching 17.2m/s--34.4m/x (wind Wind force 8~9) is tropical, the record is 24.5m/s--32.6m/s.
