Summary:
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of ink absorption testers for paper and paperboard. This standard applies to ink absorption testers for self- or near-self-color, coated or uncoated paper and paperboard for lithographic, gravure and letterpress printing (hereinafter referred to as "ink testers"). The periodic technical status inspection of ink testers during use should also be used as a reference.
