YC/T210 "Tobacco leaf code" is divided into six parts:
---Part 1: Tobacco leaf classification and code;
---Part 2: Tobacco leaf morphology code;
---Part 3: Tobacco variety code;
---Part 4: Tobacco leaf part code;
---Part 5: Tobacco leaf color code;
---Part 6: Tobacco leaf grade code.
This part is part 3 of YC/T210.
During the formulation of this part, reference was made to the "Tobacco Leaf Code" in the "Tobacco Industry Information Classification and Code Compilation Manual" (1992 edition and 1997 edition).
This part was proposed by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration.
This part is under the jurisdiction of the Information Sub-Technical Committee of the National Tobacco Standardization Technical Committee (TC144/SC7).

Tobacco varieties
A tobacco plant population with economic value created by human beings under certain ecological and economic conditions and based on their needs. 3.2
Certified tobacco varietiesA tobacco variety that has been certified by the National Tobacco Variety Certification Committee and can be promoted for planting throughout the country. 3.3
Uncertifled tobacco varietiesA tobacco variety that has not been certified by the National Tobacco Variety Certification Committee and is still in the experimental planting stage. 3.4
Sequential code
A code that indicates the coding object by the sequence of Arabic numerals or Latin letters. [GB/10113-2003, definition 2.2.17]
