This standard is a revision of GB6000-1985 "Major Afforestation Tree Species and Seedlings" to adapt to the development of seedling production technology in my country. The revised standard retains the contents of the original standard that have been proven to be in line with my country's seedling production and afforestation seedlings in practice, and makes the following modifications to the relevant contents of the original standard:|| tt||--19 tree species were added, 11 tree species were removed, and some quality indicators that did not meet the current production standards were appropriately modified; -The root length, the number of lateral roots greater than 5 cm long or the root width were added as indicators for seedling quality grading;
Seedling quality grades no longer include grade 1 seedlings (unqualified seedlings), but a two-level system was adopted, only grade 2 and grade 3 seedlings (qualified seedlings) were formulated, and other important morphological and physiological indicators that affect seedling quality were added as comprehensive control conditions; -The number of new root growth points (TNR) of seedlings was added as an indicator for the vitality of coniferous seedlings that were released after long-term storage. inspection; the seedling yield and density indicators have been removed.
This standard replaces GB6000-1985 from the date of implementation. Appendix A of this standard is the appendix to the standard.
This standard is proposed by the State Forestry Administration.

This standard specifies the definition, grading requirements, inspection methods and inspection rules for seedlings of major afforestation tree species. This standard applies to bare-root seedlings cultivated in the open field for afforestation, and does not apply to seedlings cultivated in containers and greenhouses. 2 Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions.
2.1 Stocktype
A group of seedlings divided according to propagation materials and cultivation methods, such as sowing seedlings, cutting seedlings, root seedlings, transplanted seedlings, grafted seedlings, etc. 2.2 Stockage
The age of seedlings. The actual growth age of seedlings from sowing, cuttings or rooting to leaving the nursery. One year of growth cycle is regarded as one seedling age unit.
The age of seedlings is indicated by Arabic numerals. The first numeral indicates the age of the seedlings or vegetative propagation seedlings in the original place; the second numeral indicates the number of years of cultivation after the first transplant; the third numeral indicates the number of years of cultivation after the second transplant. The numerals are separated by a dash. The sum of the numerals is the age of the seedlings, which is called the number of years. For example:
1-0 indicates a 1-year-old seedling that has not been transplanted. 2-0 indicates a 2-year-old seedling that has not been transplanted. 2-2 indicates a 4-year-old transplanted seedling that has been transplanted once and then continued to be cultivated for two years after transplantation. 2-2-2 indicates a 6-year-old transplanted seedling that has been transplanted twice and then cultivated for two years after each transplant. 0.2-0.8 indicates a 1-year-old transplanted seedling that has been transplanted once and then cultivated for eight-tenths of a growth cycle after transplantation. 0.5-0 indicates a 6-month-old seedling that has not been transplanted and has completed a half-year growth cycle. 1(2)-0 indicates a 1-year-old stem and 2-year-old root cutting, root cutting or grafted seedling that has not been transplanted. 1(2)-1 indicates cuttings, root cuttings or grafted seedlings that are transplanted once every 2 years and roots every 3 years. Note: The numbers in brackets indicate the root age of the cuttings, root cuttings or grafted seedlings in the original place (bed, stem). 2.3 A batch of seedlings
Seedlings of the same age of the same tree species, cultivated on the same seedling surface, using the same batch of propagation materials and using basically the same seedling raising technology are called a batch of seedlings (referred to as seedling batch).
2.4 Ground diameter caliper
The ground diameter of the seedling, that is, the diameter of the seedling at the soil mark at the base of the seedling for sowing seedlings and transplanted seedlings; the diameter of the seedling at the base of the germination bud for cuttings and root cuttings; and the diameter of the grafted seedling at the normal diameter above the interface. 2.5 Seeding height
The length of the seedling stem from the ground diameter to the base of the terminal bud. Approved by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision on November 10, 1999 and implemented on April 1, 2000
GB6000-1999
2.6 Root length and width root length and width The length and width of the roots that should be retained after transplanting and root pruning. 2.7 First degree lateral root Lateral root that grows directly from the main root.
2.8 Total number of new roots The number of new root growth points counted after the seedlings are planted in an environment suitable for their growth for a certain period of time, referred to as TNR. 3 Grading requirements
3.1 See Appendix A (Standard Appendix) for seedling grades. 3.2 Qualified seedlings are determined by comprehensive control conditions, root system, ground diameter and seedling height. 3.3 Seedlings that do not meet the requirements of comprehensive control conditions are unqualified, and those that meet the requirements are graded based on the three indicators of root system, ground diameter and seedling height. 3.4 Comprehensive control conditions are: no quarantined pests and diseases, straight seedling stems, normal color, needles with weak germination ability The top buds of the tree species are fully developed and strong, fully lignified, and free of mechanical damage. For long-term stored coniferous seedlings, the seedling TNR should be measured 10 to 15 days before emergence, and the TNR value should meet the requirements for the corresponding tree species in Appendix A. 3.5 When grading, first look at the root system indicators, and determine the seedling level based on the level reached by the root system. If the root system meets the requirements of level 1 seedlings, the seedlings can be level I or level I. If the root system only meets the requirements of level 1 seedlings, the seedlings can only be level I at best. After the root system meets the requirements, it is graded according to the ground diameter and seedling height indicators. If the root system does not meet the requirements, it is an unqualified seedling. 3.6 Qualified seedlings are divided into two levels, 1 and I, which are determined by the two indicators of ground diameter and seedling height. When the seedling height and ground diameter do not belong to the same level, the level of the ground diameter shall prevail.
3.7 Grading of seedlings must be carried out under the shade Windy place, after grading, make grade marks. 4 Testing methods
4.1 Sampling
4.1.1 The quality inspection of seedlings after seedlings are to be carried out within a batch of seedlings, and the random sampling method is adopted, and sampling is carried out according to the rules in Table 1: Table 1 Number of sampling for seedling inspection

Number of tested plants
4.1.2 For bundled seedlings, first sample the bundles, and then select 10 plants from each sample bundle; for seedlings not in bundles, directly select the sample plants. 4.2 Inspection
4.2.1 The ground diameter is measured with a vernier caliper. If the measured part is swollen or the stem is not round, measure the normal starting point of the upper seedling stem, and read the reading accurately to 0.05cm.
4.2.2 The seedling height is measured with a steel tape measure or ruler, from the ground diameter along the seedling stem to the base of the terminal bud, and the reading is accurate to 1cm. 4.2.3 The root length is measured with a steel tape measure or ruler, from the ground diameter to the root end, and the reading is accurate to 1cm. 4.2.4 The root width is measured with a steel tape measure or ruler, and the width of the lateral roots is measured with the ground diameter as the center. If the root width in two directions is greatly different, it should be measured vertically and cross-wise twice, and the average value should be taken, and the reading is accurate to 1cm. 4.2.5 The number of lateral roots greater than 5cm long is the number of lateral roots with a length of more than 5cm that grow directly from the main root. The contents of 4.2.63.4 are tested by sensory organs except TNR. 4.2.7TNR measurement: 30 randomly selected seedlings are potted with river sand and placed in the most suitable growth environment (daytime temperature 25℃±2

3℃, light 12~15h, nighttime temperature 16℃±3℃, darkness 9~12h, relative air humidity 60%~80%), watered every 2~4 days, and carefully removed the seedlings after a certain number of days according to the tree species, clean the mud and sand on the roots, and count the number of new root growth points (white in color). 4.2.8 Seedling inspection should be carried out in a shaded and windproof place, and pay attention to prevent the roots from losing water and drying out. 5 Inspection rules
5.1 Seedlings are inspected in batches.
5.2 Inspection work is limited to the original nursery.
5.3 Seedling inspection allowable range, the number of seedlings below this grade in the same batch of seedlings shall not exceed 5%. 5.4 If the inspection result does not meet the requirements of 5.3, a re-inspection shall be carried out and the re-inspection result shall prevail. 5.5 After the inspection, fill in the seedling inspection certificate (Form 2). All seedlings shipped out of the nursery shall be accompanied by a seedling inspection certificate. Seedlings shipped to other counties must be quarantined and accompanied by a quarantine certificate.
