This standard specifies the metallographic inspection method for the carbon content of the carburized surface of heavy-duty internal gears. This standard is applicable to steel parts such as 20CrMnTi, 20CrMnMo, 20CrNi3Mo, 15CrNi3Mo, 10Cr12Bu4, etc. Other steel types can be implemented as a reference. This standard is a metallographic method for controlling the carbon content of the surface of parts during carburizing.
