Summary:
This standard specifies the series of pulse code modulation communication systems used in my country's digital communication network. The series level, series bit rate interface and multiplexing equipment of all pulse code modulation communication systems entering the digital network shall comply with this standard. This standard is formulated based on the analysis of the main factors for selecting the series of pulse code modulation communication systems, according to my country's actual situation and in reference to the recommendations of the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee (CCITT). The hierarchy level, hierarchy bit rate interface and multiplexing equipment of pulse code modulation communication systems entering the digital network shall comply with this standard.
