The terms and definitions in GB/T4122.1 and GB19434.1 as well as the following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3. 1
Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) are also called intermediate bulk containers. They refer to rigid or flexible removable containers other than those specified in GB19433.1. These containers: a) have the following dimensions:
- when packing solids or liquids of class II and III packaging, not more than 3.0m; ...: solids of class I packaging, such as those packed in flexible, rigid plastic, composite, fiberboard and wooden intermediate bulk containers, not more than 1.5m; solids of class I packaging, such as those packed in metal intermediate bulk containers, not more than 3.0m; b) designed for mechanical loading and unloading;
c) can withstand the stress generated during loading and unloading and transportation, which is determined by test. 3.2
The container itself, including the opening and its closing device, but excluding auxiliary equipment. Applicable to all types of intermediate bulk containers except composite intermediate bulk containers.
Handling device
All kinds of lifting rings, loops, hooks and frames fixed on the IBC or extended from the IBC material. Applicable to flexible IBC.
Maximum permissible gross mass The mass of the shell and its auxiliary equipment and structural devices plus the maximum permissible loading mass (applicable to all types of IBCs of GB/T21588-2008 for decontamination bulk bags).
4 Test equipment
Crane or overhead crane, with a payload of not less than 3t, 5 Test procedure
5.1 Sample pretreatment
Fiberboard IBCs should be treated for at least 24h under atmospheric conditions of controlled temperature and relative humidity. There are three selection methods, from which one can be selected. It is recommended to choose atmospheric conditions of 23℃±2℃ and 50%±2%. The other two options are 20℃±2℃ and 65%±2% or 27℃±2℃ and 65%±2%. Note: The measurement process allows short-term fluctuations of ±5% in individual relative measurements, but the average value should be within the above limits and the fluctuation should have no effect on the re-testing of the test results.
5.2 Number of samples
The number of test samples is 3.
5.3 Test steps
5.3.1 The intermediate bulk container to be tested should be loaded to 1.25 times its maximum permissible total mass, and the load should be evenly distributed. 5.3.2 The sample is lifted and lowered twice by a forklift, and the position of the fork should be in the center, with a distance equal to 3/4 of the length of the entry surface (except for those with fixed entry points). The entry depth should be 3/4 of the depth in the entry direction. 5.3.3 This test should be repeated for each possible entry direction. Test report
