GB/T9851 "Printing Technology Terms" is divided into 7 parts. This part is the 5th part of GB/T9851. This part replaces GB/T9851.6-1990 "Printing Technology Terms Part 6: Gravure Printing Terms". This part of GB/T9851 specifies the professional terms within the scope of gravure printing to ensure the correct application of professional concepts in production, teaching and academic activities. This part is applicable to the use of the printing industry and its related professions in the compilation of standards, publishing, teaching, scientific research, production and domestic and foreign technical exchanges. Compared with GB/T9851.6-1990, this part is mainly modified as follows: --- According to the development of technology, the entries of drum polishing, sleeve printing plate, gravure engraving machine, and failure are added. --- Some outdated entries are deleted, such as: gravure screen, milky white copy negative, sun screen, carbon paper sensitization, sun positive image, corrosion failure. Delete too small entries, such as: ink scraper stroke, ink scraper angle. ---Modification: some entries are merged, such as single-bath etching and multi-bath etching, and they are combined into roller etching. Delete some obsolete entries, such as: gravure screen, milky white copy negative, sun screen, carbon paper rutting, sun positive, corrosion failure. Delete too small entries, such as: squeegee stroke, squeegee angle. Modification: merge some entries, such as single bath corrosion and multi-bath corrosion into roller corrosion. This part was proposed by the General Administration of Press and Publication.

2 Gravure Printing

Indirect gravure printing indirect gravure printing is a gravure printing method that transfers the image through a rubber roller. 2.3
Line engraving intaglio printing
On a rigid flat plate or roll, the image area is engraved into lines lower than the non-image area, and the oil is directly transferred from the lines to the substrate.
Halftone gravure
Gravure printing method that reproduces its gradation value by changing the size and depth of the cells. 2.5
