3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Primary variety trial area Primary variety trial area for preliminary screening of more test materials. 3.2
Advanced variety trial area The area of the plot is enlarged, the marginal impact is controlled, the accuracy is high, and it is the highest level of trial area. 3.3
Productive variety trialProductive variety trialA trial area with more plants (half or one tree position) established and managed according to production requirements. 3.4
Windfirm and high-yielding cloneWind-resistant high-yielding varieties
High-yielding and windfirm cloneVarieties with high dry gum yield and wind resistance comparable to that of the control varieties. 3.6
Cold-resistant and high-yielding cloneCold-resistant and high-yielding cloneVarieties with strong cold resistance.
High-yielding and cold-resistant cloneVarieties with high dry gum yield and cold resistance comparable to that of the control varieties. 3.8
Disease-resistant and high-yielding cloneDisease-resistant and high-yielding cloneVarieties with strong disease resistance.
NY/T 688—2003
Needle-puncturingexploitation cloneNeedle-puncturingexploitation cloneA variety that does not use yield stimulants and can obtain high yields by needle-puncturing. 3.10
Efficiency standing ratioThe percentage of rubber trees that can be tapped in the test area to the original number of plants. 3.11
Accumulative wind breakage ratioAccumulative wind breakage ratioThe percentage of the cumulative number of plants that suffered level 4 and level 6 and felled (damaged plants are not counted repeatedly) in all previous wind damages to the number of plants in the first survey. 3.12
Drought hardiness
The ability of rubber trees to endure drought in arid areas or dry seasons. 3.13
Latex and timber cloneA variety with high dry rubber yield and large standing timber volume. 3.14
Standing volume
The total volume estimated from the trunk and branches with a girth of ≥30 cm. 3.15
Secondary characteristicsGeneral term for other characteristics except rubber yield, volume and resistance. 3.16
Budwood
Budwood from the proliferation nursery for bud grafting. 4 Requirements for superior varieties
The superior varieties are divided into promotion grade, expanded trial grade and trial grade. The evaluation of their grades shall comply with the provisions of NY/T607, and the type of comparison area, the years of systematic appraisal, and technical indicators and other systematic and complete information shall be provided in accordance with Appendix A. 4.1 Comparison area
The design method, number of repetitions, number of trees recorded in the plot and the spacing between rows and plants of the comparison area shall comply with the provisions of NY/T607. The trial-level varieties are evaluated based on the data from the primary system comparison area, and the expanded trial-level and extension-level varieties are evaluated based on the data from the advanced system comparison area or production system comparison area.
4.2 System identification data age
Extension-level varieties ≥5 years;
Expanded trial-level varieties ≥2 years;
