This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of polyester (PET) soft drink bottles (hereinafter referred to as bottles).
This standard applies to bottles made of polyethylene terephthalate by injection molding, stretching, blow molding one-step or two-step process. The products are mainly used for carbonated beverages and mineral water beverage packaging. 2

Visually inspect under natural light or fluorescent light, and place the sample bottle mouth on a projector positioning frame with a magnification of at least 10 times, and inspect the bottle mouth end face and thread.
5.2 Specifications
5.2.1 Bottle mouth
Measure with a projector with a magnification of 10 times. 5.2.2 Height
Measure with a gauge with an accuracy of 0.02mm.
5.2.3 Wall thickness
Use a gauge with an accuracy of 0.01mm to measure at least 4 measuring points on each part of the bottle and record the minimum value. 5.2.4 Verticality
Take 5 sampling bottles, fill each bottle with two-thirds of water, place it in the verticality tester, use the support ring as the measuring point, put the bottom of the bottle close to the bottom of the clamp, rotate 360°, find the minimum value, then adjust the meter pointer to zero, rotate the bottle 360° again, and record the maximum deflection of the pointer. See Figure 3.

Take 5 sampling bottles, fill them with water to the filling point, weigh the water in the bottle, accurate to 0.1g, and convert it into capacity according to the density of water. Note: The filling point refers to the distance from the end of the bottle mouth to the liquid surface, which is specified by the design drawing. 5.2.6 Sealing performance
5.2.6.1 Weight loss rate of contents
Take 5 sampling bottles, fill them with 4.0±0.05 volume of carbon dioxide aqueous solution at 23℃, seal them, weigh them, store them at room temperature for 24 weeks, and calculate the weight loss rate according to formula (1). Where: Xw

Samples below 1000mL (including 1000ml.) are stored for 6 weeks, and samples above 1000mL are stored for 12 weeks. b.

Take 5 sample bottles and place them at (23±2)℃ for more than 2 hours. Apply vertical pressure to the sample bottles at a constant speed of 100mm/min on the testing machine, record the maximum load, and take the arithmetic mean, accurate to 1N. 5.2.8 Base bonding performance

Take 10 sample bottles with bases and place them at (23±2)℃ for more than 2 hours, and then perform the following tests respectively. a.Pull-off performance
Place the sample bottle in the test machine fixture, clamp the neck of the bottle with the upper fixture, hook the edge of the base with a single hook, stretch it at a constant speed of 100 mm/min, and record its maximum pull-off value. Take the arithmetic mean of the test results of 5 sample bottles, accurate to 1N. b. Twist-off performance
Fix the base of the bottle on the test machine, twist the bottle body in the circumferential direction with a uniform force, and record the maximum torque. Take the arithmetic mean of the test results of 5 sample bottles, accurate to 0.1N·m. 5.2.9 Drop performance
Prepare 10 specimens according to the requirements of 5.2.6.1 and divide them into two groups. One group is stored at (23±2)℃ for 24h, and the other group is stored at (4±1)℃ for 24h. Perform drop tests on concrete floor respectively. The drop height is 2m. The bottle mouth is upward and the axis of the bottle is allowed to fall freely at an angle of 30° to the vertical direction. Check the damage of the bottle body and base and make records. 5.2.10 Thermal stability
Prepare 5 specimens according to the requirements of 5.2.6.1 and place them at (23±2)℃ for 24h. After measuring the bottle height, bottle diameter and liquid filling height, place them at (38±1)℃ for 24h. Take them out and observe whether the bottle body and base are loose or broken. Measure the bottle height, bottle diameter and liquid level. Calculate the height deviation, diameter deviation and liquid level drop according to formula (3), (4) and (5). At the same time, measure the verticality of the bottle according to 5.2.4 and record it. X =H=H× 100

The test steps for acetaldehyde content are as follows:
a. Take 5 sample bottles, flush them with 99.9% pure nitrogen and drive out the air in the sample bottles, then quickly cover them with a lid with a rubber diaphragm and place them at a constant temperature of (23±2)°C for 24 hours. b. Take three 1L (or other capacity) glass bottles, flush with 99.9% nitrogen to drive out the air in the bottles, quickly cover them with lids with rubber diaphragms, inject 4μL (or other amount) of acetaldehyde solution of known concentration (about 1mg/mL), wait for it to completely evaporate at a temperature of about 40℃, then extract 5mL of gas from the bottle and inject it into the gas chromatograph to obtain the area of a standard sample peak of known concentration, and take the arithmetic mean of three tests.
Extract 5mL of gas from the sample bottle to be tested that has been placed for 24 hours and inject it into the gas chromatograph to obtain a peak area of the concentration to be tested, and calculate the acetaldehyde content according to formula (6).

6 Inspection rules
6.1 Batch

Products are inspected in batches, and products with the same brand, same specification of raw materials and the same process are continuously produced as a batch. Each batch shall not exceed 500,000.
6.2 Sampling
Random sampling is adopted. Specifications and appearance sampling are in accordance with Table 9. Physical and mechanical properties are in batches, and 50 sample bottles are selected from each batch for inspection.

The whole batch is qualified. If one of the chemical and hygienic performance test results is unqualified, the whole batch is judged to be unqualified. It shall be stored in a warehouse that is ventilated, cool, dry, and free from chemical and harmful and toxic substances. The storage period shall not exceed half a year from the date of production.

Take 5 sampling bottles, fill each bottle with two-thirds of water, place it in the verticality tester, use the support ring as the measuring point, put the bottom of the bottle close to the bottom of the clamp, rotate 360°, find the minimum value, then adjust the meter pointer to zero, rotate the bottle 360° again, and record the maximum deflection of the pointer. Place the sample bottle in the test machine fixture, clamp the neck of the bottle with the upper fixture, hook the edge of the base with a single hook, stretch it at a constant speed of 100 mm/min, and record its maximum pull-off value. Take the arithmetic mean of the test results of 5 sample bottles, accurate to 1N. b. Twist-off performance
Fix the base of the bottle on the test machine, twist the bottle body in the circumferential direction with a uniform force, and record the maximum torque. Take the arithmetic mean of the test results of 5 sample bottles, accurate to 0.1N·m. 5.2.9 Drop performance
Prepare 10 specimens according to the requirements of 5.2.6.1 and divide them into two groups. One group is stored at (23±2)℃ for 24h, and the other group is stored at (4±1)℃ for 24h. Perform drop tests on concrete floor respectively. The drop height is 2m. The bottle mouth is upward and the axis of the bottle is allowed to fall freely at an angle of 30° to the vertical direction. Check the damage of the bottle body and base and make records. 5.2.10 Thermal stability
Prepare 5 specimens according to the requirements of 5.2.6.1 and place them at (23±2)℃ for 24h. After measuring the bottle height, bottle diameter and liquid filling height, place them at (38±1)℃ for 24h. Take them out and observe whether the bottle body and base are loose or broken. Measure the bottle height, bottle diameter and liquid level. Calculate the height deviation, diameter deviation and liquid level drop according to formula (3), (4) and (5). Type inspection should generally be carried out in any of the following situations: a.
Trial production of new products or old products in the factory; after formal production, when the production process is changed or new raw materials are used, which may affect the product performance; during normal production, type inspection should be carried out at least once every six months; when production is resumed after suspension for more than three months; when there is a significant difference between the factory inspection results and the last type inspection; when the national quality supervision agency proposes a requirement for type inspection. f.

If one of the physical and mechanical properties test results is unqualified, double samples should be taken from the original batch for re-inspection, and all the re-inspection results are qualified.
