JB/T3158—1999
This standard adopts ISO5184:1979 "Straight Electrodes for Resistance Spot Welding" in a non-equivalent manner. This standard is a revision of JB3158-82 "Straight Electrodes for Resistance Spot Welding". According to the requirements of GB/T 1.1--1993 and GB/T 1.3--1997, only editorial changes have been made to JB3158--82. From the date of implementation, this standard will replace JB3158-82. Appendix A of this standard is a reminder appendix.
This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Electric Welding Machines. The drafting units of this standard are: Shanghai Electric Science Research Institute, Tuhai Electric Welding Machine Factory. The main drafters of this standard are: Ni Hongxing and Chen Guoyu. 1

This standard specifies the shape, size and marking of various types of straight electrodes used in resistance spot welding machines. This standard applies to various types of straight electrodes (hereinafter referred to as electrodes) used in resistance spot welding machines under general use conditions. The nominal diameter of the electrode (mm) is as follows: 10, 13, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40. For the electrodes of the above diameters, the maximum pressure shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
