The scope and referenced standards of this series of standards are shown in IEC60617-1. When revising GB/T4728.1, it is intended to adopt IEC60617-1 as an equivalent. The Appendix B and Appendix C of the original IEC60617-4:1996 are French and English indexes respectively, which are deleted in this standard. Appendix B of this standard is the symbols added in GB/T4728.4-1985 that are not in the original IEC60617-4 (1st edition). Both Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard are informative appendices. This standard replaces GB/T4728.4--1985 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Electrical Document Preparation and Graphic Symbols Standardization. This standard was drafted by the Mechanical Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Electrical Machinery Industry. The main drafters of this standard are: Guo Ting, Li Shilin, Gao Huimin, Meng Qinglan, Yin Tao, Wei Yanjun, Li Ling. This standard was first issued on May 15, 1985. -13

IEC Foreword
1) IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is a world-wide standardization organization that includes all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The goal set by IEC is to promote international cooperation on various issues related to standards in the electrical and electronic fields. For this purpose and other activities, IEC also publishes international standards. The formulation of international standards is entrusted to technical committees. Any IEC National Committee can participate in the standard formulation work if it is interested in the subject being studied. International organizations, governments and non-governmental organizations that have relations with IEC can also participate in the standard formulation work. IEC and ISO work closely under the conditions determined by the agreement between them. 2) IEC formal decisions and agreements on technical matters, drawn up by technical committees attended by those national committees particularly concerned with these matters, expressing as far as possible an international consensus on the subject matter involved. 3) They are accepted by the national committees in the sense that they are published in the form of standards, technical reports or guidelines and recommended for international use.
4) In order to promote international unity, the IEC national committees undertake the task of applying IEC international standards to the greatest extent possible in their countries and regions. Any differences between IEC international standards and corresponding national or regional standards should be clearly indicated in the latter. International Standard IEC60617-4 was drafted by Technical Committee 3A (Graphical Symbols for Diagrams) of IEC Technical Committee 3 (Documentation and Graphical Symbols).
This second edition abolishes and replaces the first edition of 1983 and is technically revised. The text of this standard is based on the following documents:

The scope and reference standards of this series are shown in IEC60617-1. The above symbols are designed according to the requirements of ISO11714-1* to be published. The module used is M-2.5mm. In order to make smaller symbols clearer, these symbols are enlarged by half in this standard and marked with "200%" in the symbol column; in order to save space, larger symbols are reduced by half and marked with "50%\" in the symbol column. In order to facilitate the drawing of multiple terminals and meet other layout requirements, the size of the symbol (such as height) can be changed in accordance with Article 7 of ISO11714-1. Regardless of whether the size of the symbol is enlarged, reduced or corrected, the original line width is not corrected proportionally.
The symbol layout of this standard should make the distance between the connecting lines a multiple of a certain module. In order to facilitate the marking of the terminals, 2M is usually selected. For ease of understanding, the symbols are drawn at a certain size, and the same grid is used uniformly when drawing all symbols. In computer-aided drawing systems, all symbols should be drawn within the grid, and the grid used is reproduced on the background of the symbol. The old symbols included in Appendix A of the first edition of IEC60617-4 had a transition period, and they are no longer included in the second edition. Part, and it will be made clear that they are no longer in use.
The index to Annexes B and C contains an alphabetical index of the symbol names and their numbers, the symbol names being based on the description of the symbols in this part. A general alphabetical index of the symbols of all parts is given by IEC 60617-1. * Currently, it is still at the draft international standard stage (Document 3/563/DIS). 45

Inductor
If it represents an inductor with a magnetic core, a parallel line can be added to the symbol. If the magnetic core is made of non-magnetic material, a note can be added; if the magnetic core has a gap, this line can be disconnected. Note: Transformer windings see GB/T4728.6

Ferrite core
Magnetic flux/current direction indicator symbol
This symbol indicates that a horizontal line passes vertically through the core symbol, representing a core winding, and it also gives the direction relationship between the current and the magnetic flux
This symbol is not suitable for position layout representation
Ferrite core with a winding
The oblique line can be regarded as a reflector reflecting the direction relationship between the current and the magnetic flux, as shown below:
Zhengzitong
For drawing convenience , even if there is no winding on the magnetic circuit, the line representing the conductor is often drawn through the core symbol
Except for the position layout representation, in all cases, when a straight line passes through the core symbol to represent a winding, a slash must be drawn
Example:
1) Conductor passing through the core symbol
2) Winding on the core
