Summary:

This standard specifies the cold atomic absorption spectrophotometric method for the determination of total mercury in solid waste leachate by potassium permanganate-potassium persulfate digestion. This standard method is applicable to the determination of total mercury in solid waste leachate. Under the best conditions (high sensitivity of the mercury analyzer, extremely small baseline drift and reagent blank value), when the sample volume is 200 mL, the minimum detection concentration can reach 0.05 μg/L. Under normal circumstances, the determination range is 0.2 to 50 μg/L.
