4 Application and performance
4.1 Cantilever planer
The type of machine tool is shown in Figure 2.

The machine tool is suitable for single-piece, small-batch or batch production in the manufacturing industries of machine tools, automobiles, tractors, etc. It is used for rough and fine planing of various parts horizontal planes, vertical planes, inclined planes, and guide rail surfaces composed of various planes. The precision of the cantilever planer should meet the requirements of JB/T27321. It adopts a single column fixed to the bed, and the cantilever beam is placed on the column. Generally, there are two vertical tool holders on the cantilever beam and two side tool holders on the column. The cantilever beam and the side tool holder move vertically along the column, and the two vertical tool holders move horizontally along the cantilever beam. The worktable reciprocates on the bed.
According to user needs, it can be equipped with special accessories such as milling head, grinding head, reciprocating cutting device and auxiliary column or auxiliary guide rail. 4.2 Gantry planer

It adopts double columns to fix the bed, the top of the column is connected to the top beam, and the beam is placed on the two columns. Generally, there are two vertical tool holders on the crossbeam, and a side tool holder on each of the left and right columns. The crossbeam and the left and right tool holders move vertically along the columns, the vertical tool holders move horizontally along the crossbeam, and the worktable reciprocates on the bed. According to user needs, it can be equipped with special accessories such as milling heads, grinding heads, and reciprocating cutting devices. And the maximum planing width or maximum planing height of the basic model can be changed to form a modified product.
4.3 Light gantry planer
The machine tool is formed by increasing the maximum planing width on the basis of the gantry planer basic model. Its precision performance, use and structure are the same as those of the gantry planer basic model.
4.4 Simple gantry planer
The machine tool is suitable for single-piece and small-batch production in manufacturing industries such as textiles and agricultural machinery and various machinery repair industries. It is used for rough and fine planing of horizontal planes, vertical planes and guide surfaces composed of various planes of various parts. The straightness of the workpiece should reach 0.03mm/m, and the maximum allowable value of surface roughness R is 2.5μm
It is fixed to the bed with double columns, the top of the column is connected to the top beam, and the crossbeam is placed on the two columns. Generally, there are two vertical tool holders on the crossbeam and a side tool holder on the column. Its movement form is the same as the basic type, but the structure is simple. The maximum planing width, maximum planing height and maximum planing length are the same as the basic type of the gantry planer, but other parameters are very different. 2
