3 Terms and Definitions

Ropes shall be named according to the principle of material selection. 4.1 When the rope is composed of a single fiber material, the Chinese name of the fiber material shall be followed by “string” as the product name. 4.2 When the rope is composed of two or more types of materials, the Chinese name of the fiber material shall be followed by the order in which it is made as the product name.
4.3 When the rope is a mixture of fiber material and steel wire, the Chinese name of the fiber material shall be followed by “core-spun rope” (or “core-sandwich rope”) as the product name.
