This standard applies to information exchange between any information processing systems. Compilation principles and structure

1.1 This standard includes a Chinese language code table and an alphabetic code index table. The former consists of four parts: digital code, Chinese name, Chinese phonetic notation (including the actual phonetic arrangement of the original name of the ethnic group) and alphabetic code, while the index table consists of three parts: alphabetic code, language name and digital code.
1.2 The digital code is basically arranged according to the language family and language group and is represented by three-digit Arabic numerals. The alphabetic code generally adopts the same format as GB334-82 The code is basically consistent with the "Russian Alphabet Spelling and Code for the Names of Nationalities in China", and is represented by two lowercase letters. Among them, thirteen languages also exist abroad, and are represented by the world language code plus parentheses. When a few languages are repeated with the world language code, flexible methods are used to distinguish them. 1.3 This standard is mainly based on GB3304-82, and refers to "Ci Mei". "Chinese Book and Material Classification", "Chinese Academy of Sciences Library Map Classification", etc.
