3.1 Terms
3.1.1 Structural length (for straight-through valves) The distance between the two planes perpendicular to the valve axis at the end of the valve body channel, expressed in mm. 3.1.2 Structural length (for right-angle valves) The distance between the plane perpendicular to the axis at one end of the valve body channel and the axis of the other end of the valve body, expressed in mm. 3.2 Diagrams

4.2 Structural length of various marine flange-connected metal valves The structural length of straight-through valves, rotary valves, ball valves, and swing check valves shall be based on the basic series (1). The structural length of right-angle valves shall be based on the basic series (2). The structural length of gate valves shall be based on the basic series (3) or (6). The structural length of wafer-type butterfly valves and wafer-type butterfly check valves shall be based on the basic series (4) or (5). Additional notes:
