All technical contents of this standard are mandatory. The above-mentioned industrial enterprise health protection distance standard is a comprehensive standard involving construction planning, industrial construction general layout, environmental sanitation, and sanitary engineering. Its purpose is to ensure that the pollutants generated by national key industrial enterprises after the production will not affect the health of people in residential areas. This standard aims at the characteristics of various harmful factors, finds out the occurrence, diffusion, dilution, attenuation, and degradation characteristics of harmful factors, and then determines the allowable emission intensity of industrial enterprises based on the best practical technical principles, that is, according to the governance measures and maintenance management measures that can be achieved at my country's current economic level, and finally selects the appropriate atmospheric diffusion model and corresponding parameters to determine the required dust protection distance. This standard has been implemented since January 1, 2001. This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. The responsible drafting units of this standard are: Institute of Environmental Sanitation and Sanitary Engineering, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, Hunan Provincial Health and Epidemic Prevention Station, and Changde District Health and Epidemic Prevention Station, Hunan Province.

Health protection zone standard for leather making plant This standard specifies the required health protection distance between leather plants (leather and leather processing plants) and residential areas. GB18082—2000
This standard applies to leather plants and their expansion projects located in plain and hilly areas. The health protection distance of existing leather plants: It should be determined jointly by the competent department of the construction unit and the health and environmental protection departments of the province, municipality and autonomous region where the construction project is located based on the odor measurement and evaluation report.
2 Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions
2.1 Health protection zone The minimum distance from the boundary of the department (vehicle or work section) that produces odor to the boundary of the residential area. 3 Standard Contents
3.1 The sanitary protection distance of the tannery shall be determined according to the average wind speed in the area in the past five years as shown in Table 1. Table 1
