This standard replaces JB2523—79 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed by the National Technical Committee for Metal Cutting Machine Tools Standardization. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Heavy Machine Tool Branch of the National Technical Committee for Metal Cutting Machine Tools Standardization. This standard was drafted by: Qiqihar No. 1 Machine Tool Factory and Qinghai Heavy Machine Tool Factory. This standard was first issued in March 1979.
1 Scope

Floor-type lathe
This standard specifies the parameters of floor-type lathes. JB/T2523.2-1999
Replaces JB2523.2-79
This standard applies to new-design floor-type lathes for general use with a maximum workpiece rotation diameter of 1600-8000mm in the pit and a maximum workpiece length of 2000-4000mm between the centers. It also applies to floor-type lathes for general use without pits. 2 Parameters
The type of floor-type lathe is shown in Figure 1. The parameters of the machine tool should comply with the provisions of Table 1. Figure 1

1) Refers to the distance between the front and rear centers when the tailstock is in the last position on the base plate and the tailstock center extends to the maximum allowable length. If there are special requirements for L, it can be increased by 2000mm, but the maximum length shall not exceed 16000mm, which shall be agreed upon by the user and the manufacturer. 2) m refers to the maximum weight of the suspended workpiece when the distance from the center of gravity of the workpiece to the end face of the faceplate is half of L (for Φ1600mm and Φ2000mm machine tools, m refers to the maximum weight of the suspended workpiece when the distance from the center of gravity of the workpiece to the end face of the faceplate is 250mm and 320mm respectively) Approved by the State Machinery Industry Bureau on May 20, 1999 and implemented on January 1, 2000
