This standard is revised and supplemented on the basis of GB3709-83. The scope, reference standards, safety precautions and other contents are added, the moisture index of industrial phenol is modified, and the inspection rules and the contents of the quality certificate are supplemented. From the date of entry into force of this standard, it replaces GB3709-83. This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Information Standards Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. The drafting units of this standard are Jiuquan Iron and Steel Company and the Information Standards Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. The main drafters of this standard are Shi Wei, Li Meishu, Chen Daju and Sun Wei. This standard was first issued in 1983.

3 Technical requirements

6.1 The product should be packed into clean and dry tank trucks or iron barrels, and the barrels should be marked with the product name, manufacturer name, net weight and "toxic" and "corrosive" signs.
6.2 Each batch of products leaving the factory should be accompanied by a quality certificate. The certificate content includes: supplier name, product name, standard number, batch number, gross weight, net weight, delivery date and various test results specified in this standard. 6.3 Keep away from fire and heat sources during transportation and storage, and pay attention to ventilation. It should be stored separately from oxidants. If it is piled in the open air, it should be prevented from rainwater infiltration.
7 Safety precautions
7.1 Industrial phenol is a toxic, corrosive and flammable substance with a special odor, so corresponding protective measures should be taken in the production site and during transportation and storage.
7.2 If industrial phenol catches fire, use water mist, foam, carbon dioxide, sand, etc. to extinguish the fire. If it touches human skin, it should be quickly wiped with 10% to 40% alcohol and then washed with soapy water. 168
