Summary:
This standard specifies the test equipment, sample preparation, test steps, test results and calculations for the test of copper cyclopentaneate content in the outer sheath. This standard is applicable to the determination of the amount of copper cyclopentaneate contained in natural fiber materials pre-impregnated with copper cyclopentaneate preservatives on the outer sheath of cables. The general provisions, definitions and regular calibration of test equipment for mechanical and physical properties of wires and cables are specified in GB/T 2951.1. GB/T2951.1-94 General rules for testing methods of mechanical and physical properties of wires and cables 3 Test equipment
3.1 Muffle furnace,
3.2 Porcelain snail volume 40~50ml,
3.3 Beaker volume 200~~300mL,
3.4 Balance accuracy 1mg.
3.5 Nitric acid solution concentration 11 (nitric acid specific gravity 1.42). 3.6 Extraction device and electrolysis device,
4 Sample preparation
Remove the fiber material from the tested cable, remove the surface asphalt coating, cut it into small pieces, and divide it into two parts at will after sufficient mixing. Each part weighs about 5g, accurate to 1 mg.
5 Test steps
5.1 Take a sample and put it into a porcelain ash, then put it into a muffle furnace to burn it into ash (furnace temperature is about 850℃, time 20~30min). Take it out, add 10nL nitric acid solution, then pour it into a beaker, and rinse it with water to make the contents completely pour into the beaker, and then add 10mL nitric acid solution into the beaker. Boil it until the copper oxide is completely dissolved, then filter it. The beaker must be rinsed with water 7~8 times, and the rinse liquid must be filtered together. The filtered molten gold electrode is electrolyzed, and the copper weight before the platinum electrode is increased is 5.2 Take another sample and put it into a benzene extraction device, and extract it with benzene or other solvents for 8-12 hours until the chlorine agent is completely removed, then take out the sample, carefully dry it and weigh it.

6 Test results and calculation
GB/T2951.24--94
6.1 The percentage of copper cyclohexaneate content is calculated according to the following formula: X
Wherein: X—copper cyclohexaneate content, %;
a—amount of copper on the platinum electrode, g+
6—weight of a sample accurately weighed for copper content determination, g; C - The conversion coefficient of copper and cyclopentaneate should be based on actual measurement, but should not be greater than 11.1; - The weight ratio of the sample taken out of the impregnation agent to the weight ratio before sampling, 6.2 Take the arithmetic mean of the results of the three cable samples respectively measured as the cyclopentaneate copper content of the outer sheath of the batch of cables 7 Notes
It is allowed to use other effective methods to determine the cyclopentaneate copper content, but this method must be used when the arbitration test is performed. Additional notes:
