This standard is based on the requirements of the State Bureau of Technical Supervision to clean up and rectify national standards, and is converted from the original national standard GB68691986 "Hedge trimmer" to an industry standard (this standard was issued by the National Light Industry Bureau [19991112 Document No. 12) and the conversion standard number is QB/T3855—1999, with the same content).
This standard is proposed by the General Business Department of the China Light Industry Federation: This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Tool Hardware Standardization Center. This standard is drafted by the Shanghai Tool Industry Research Institute, and Jiangsu Zhangjiagang Fulai Garden Tools Co., Ltd., Shandong Garden Tools General Association, Jiangsu Jinlu Group Co., Ltd., and Dongjiexi Knife and Scissors Factory participated in the drafting. The main drafters of this standard are Lin Meide, Ji Jianrong, Meng Xiangtuan, Jun Xuehai, and Ri Xikui. From the date of implementation of this standard, the industry standard QB/T3855-1999 "Hedge Trimmers" issued by the former State Light Industry Bureau shall be abolished.

The types of shears are shown in Figures 1 to 3, and are divided into true line blade (indicated by A), curved blade (indicated by B) and serrated blade (indicated by C) according to the shape of the shear blade. 3.2Basic Dimensions

4 Technical requirements
4.1 Hardness

The blade hardness of the hedge shears is 43HRC~48HRC. 4.2 Performance
4.2.1 The shear head should be flexible to open and close, the shear handle must be firmly assembled, the buckle is tight, and there is no grinding or pinching of the hand. 4.2.2 The shear blade should be sharp, the blade line should be neat, there is no chipping or curling, and the shear blade should be tightly closed. 4.3 Surface quality
4.3.1 The surface of the whole shear should be smooth, without burrs, cracks, flash, oxide scale and other defects. 4.3.2 The surface roughness of each part of the whole shear should comply with the provisions of Table 2. Table 2

4.3.3 When the handle of the trimming shear is decorated with plastic or organic paint, its surface should be uniform and bright, without adhesion, dripping and obvious flow marks.
4.3.4 The surface of the trimming shear should be polished, blackened or other surface treatments. The surface of the trimming shear after surface treatment should have a uniform protective layer, and there should be no bottom exposure. 5 Test methods
5.1 Hardness test
The hardness test is carried out on the cutting edge according to the provisions of GBT230. 5.2 Dimension and surface quality inspection
5.2.1 The size of the whole shears is inspected with a special cardboard or a universal measuring tool. 5.2.2 The surface roughness before trimming is inspected by comparison with a standard sample. 5.2.3 The appearance quality of the whole shears is inspected by visual inspection. 6 Inspection rules, marking and packaging
The inspection rules, marking and packaging of the whole shears are in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 6867. 9
