In order to implement the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste", strengthen the management of hazardous wastes, protect the environment, and safeguard human health, This standard is specifically formulated.
This standard is the second part of the hazardous waste identification standards. This standard will be implemented from August 1, 1996, and will replace the acute toxicity preliminary screening content in Article 2, Section 2.4 of GB5085--85, and replace the content in GB5088--85. From the date of implementation of this standard, GB5085--85 "Standard for Pollution Control of Non-ferrous Metal Industrial Solid Waste" and GB5088-85 "Standard for Preliminary Screening Test Methods for Acute Toxicity of Non-ferrous Metal Industrial Solid Waste" are invalid. This standard has changed in the following content:
Since the name of this standard is the hazardous waste identification standard, the scope of application is extended to hazardous wastes generated by any process, and is no longer limited to solid wastes generated by the non-ferrous metal industry. In order to increase the operability of this standard, the contents of GB5088-85 are included in Appendix A of this standard, and a gastric administration amount is added to the acute toxicity preliminary screening test method.
This standard is proposed by the Science and Technology Standards Department of the State Environmental Protection Administration. This standard is interpreted by the State Environmental Protection Administration. 1 Subject content and scope of application
1.1 Subject content
This standard specifies the acute toxicity preliminary screening standard value for identifying one of the hazardous characteristics of hazardous wastes. 1.2 Scope of application
This standard is applicable to the preliminary screening and identification of acute toxicity of solid hazardous wastes generated in any production process and life. 2 The term
hazardous waste
refers to waste with one or more hazardous characteristics such as corrosiveness, acute toxicity, leaching toxicity, reactivity, infectiousness, radioactivity, etc. || tt | |tt||3
Acute toxicity preliminary screening identification value
GB5085.2-1996
According to Appendix A "Test Method for Preliminary Screening of Acute Toxicity of Hazardous Wastes" Conduct a test and administer oral gavage to mice (or rats). If more than half of them die after 48 hours, then the waste is hazardous waste with acute toxicity. 5 Standard implementation
The environmental protection administrative departments of local people's governments at or above the county level are responsible for the supervision and implementation of this standard. 4
Appendix A (standard appendix)
Preparation of A1 sample
Preliminary screening test method for acute toxicity of hazardous wastes Preparation of leachate: Place 100g of sample in an Erlenmeyer flask and add 100ml of distilled water (i.e. solid-liquid 1:1), soak statically for 24 hours at room temperature, filter with filter paper, and reserve the filtrate for gastric administration experiments. A2 Experimental Methods
A2.1 Experimental animals: Use mice weighing 18 to 24g (or rats weighing 200 to 300g) as experimental animals. A2.2 Gavage: According to the acute toxicity oral gavage method specified in 5.2 of GB791987, 10 mice (or rats) are administered once.
A2.3 Intragastric dosage: mice should not exceed 0.4ml/20g (body weight) and rats should not exceed 1.0ml/100g (body weight). A3 Result Judgment
Observe the poisoning symptoms of mice (or rats) after intragastric administration, and record the number of deaths of experimental animals within 48 hours. Based on the experimental results, a preliminary evaluation of the comprehensive toxicity of the waste is made. If more than half of the mice (or rats) die, the waste can be determined to be a hazardous waste with acute toxicity.
