The ultraviolet rays in sunlight are electromagnetic waves of 200~~400nm, of which the ultraviolet rays in the UVB zone of 280~320nm and the ultraviolet rays in the UVA zone of 320~~400nm can make the skin sunburned, tanned, and sunburned. Adding a certain amount of sunscreen to cosmetics can prevent and reduce the damage of ultraviolet rays to the human body. At present, the sunscreens used in cosmetics include ultraviolet absorbers and ultraviolet shielding agents. The former has a strong absorption performance for ultraviolet rays in the UVA zone and UVB zone, and can reduce or completely absorb ultraviolet rays. This test method is formulated based on the principle that ultraviolet rays can be absorbed at 280~400nm, and is only applicable to the qualitative determination of ultraviolet absorbers in cosmetics. The sample is directly dissolved in a solvent and measured by an ultraviolet spectrophotometer. 3 Reagents
95% ethanol (GB/T679), analytical grade. 4 Instruments
4.1 Balance: graduation value 0.1g.

5 Analysis steps
5.1 Preparation of samples
QB/T2334—1997
Weigh 0.1g of sample into a 100mL beaker, add 100mL of 95% ethanol to dissolve, stir, let stand for a while, and take the clear liquid as the sample to be tested. Select the dilution multiple according to the content of sunscreen in the sample. 5.2 Determination steps
Before determination, stabilize the instrument for 30 minutes. Adjust the wavelength of the UV spectrophotometer to 280~400mm, and use 95% ethanol as blank. Pour the clear liquid of the sample to be tested into the colorimetric blood, wipe the surface of the colorimetric blood with lens paper, and scan. 6 Result indication
If the instrument has an absorption peak in this wavelength range, the sample contains ultraviolet absorber, and if there is no absorption peak, the sample does not contain ultraviolet absorber. Approved by China Light Industry General Association on December 4, 1997
