This standard applies to the weight calculation method of steel plates (hereinafter referred to as steel plates) of grades specified in GB4237-84 "Hot-rolled stainless steel plates" and GB3280-84 "Cold-rolled stainless steel plates". The weight calculation method of steel plates of grades not specified in this standard shall be determined by negotiation between the supply and demand parties.
1 Weight calculation method
1.1 The weight of the steel plate is calculated using the nominal size. When the thickness allowable deviation is specified as a positive deviation or a negative deviation, it is calculated using the average value of the upper and lower limits of the deviation and the sum of the nominal size. 1.2 The basic weight of a steel plate refers to the weight of a steel plate with a thickness of 1mm and an area of 1m2, as shown in the following table. 1.3 The unit weight (kg/m2) refers to the weight of a steel plate with an area of 1m2, which is the basic weight multiplied by the thickness of the steel plate (mm), rounded to four significant figures.
1.4 The weight of a sheet of steel plate is the unit weight multiplied by the area (m2). The area should be rounded to four significant figures, and the weight of a sheet of steel plate should be rounded to three significant figures. When the weight of a sheet exceeds 1000kg, it should be rounded to an integer in kg. 1.5 The total weight is the weight of a sheet of steel plate multiplied by the total number of sheets of the same grade and size, and rounded to an integer in kg. 1.6 The method of rounding off numbers shall be in accordance with the provisions of Appendix C of GB1.1-81 "General Provisions for the Preparation of Standards in the Guidelines for Standardization Work".
