Announcement of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the Issuance of the National Standard "Standard for Quality Acceptance of Building Decoration and Renovation Projects" The "Standard for Quality Acceptance of Building Decoration and Renovation Projects" is now approved as a national standard, numbered GB50210-2018, and will be implemented from September 1, 2018. Among them, Articles 3.1.4, 6.1.11, 6.1.12, 7.1.12, and 11.1.12 are mandatory provisions and must be strictly enforced. The original "Code for Quality Acceptance of Building Decoration and Renovation Projects" GB50210-2001 is abolished at the same time.
This standard is made public on the portal website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (www.mohurd.gov.cn) and is published and distributed by the China Building Industry Press organized by the Standard and Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

According to the requirements of the "Notice on Issuing the 2011 Engineering Construction Standards and Specifications Formulation and Revision Plan" (Jianbiao [2011] No. 17) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the standard drafting group has revised the "Code for Quality Acceptance of Building Decoration and Renovation Projects" GB50210-2001 after extensive investigation and research, careful summary of practical experience, reference to relevant international standards and foreign advanced standards, and on the basis of extensive solicitation of opinions. The main technical contents of this standard are: 1. General provisions; 2. Terminology; 3. Basic regulations; 4. Plastering works; 5. External wall waterproofing works; 6. Door and window works; 7. Ceiling works; 8. Lightweight partition works; 9. Decorative panel works; 10. Decorative brick works; 11. Curtain wall works; 12. Painting works; 13. Wall covering and soft packing works; 14. Detail works; 15. Quality acceptance of sub-works.
The main contents of this revision are: a new chapter on external wall waterproofing engineering; a new section on thin plastering engineering of thermal insulation layer; the original chapter on veneer (brick) engineering is divided into two chapters: veneer engineering and veneer brick engineering; the ceiling engineering is divided into overall surface layer hanging engineering, plate surface layer ceiling engineering and grille ceiling engineering; the coating engineering and pasting and soft packing engineering are added with allowable deviations and inspection methods; the relevant provisions on the production and installation of wooden doors and windows and radiator covers are deleted: the curtain wall engineering lists the main control items and general items, and its acceptance content, inspection methods and inspection quantity are specified by the technical standards of each curtain wall. The provisions marked in bold in this standard are mandatory provisions and must be strictly implemented. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is responsible for the management and interpretation of the mandatory provisions of this standard, and the China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd. is responsible for the interpretation of the specific technical content.
