This standard specifies the product varieties, technical requirements and inspection rules of damping core high tension ignition wires. GB/T 14820.3-93
This standard applies to unshielded damping core high tension ignition wires used in the engine ignition system of road vehicles represented by automobiles. In addition to meeting the requirements of this standard, the wires shall also meet the requirements of GB/T14820.1. 2 Usage characteristics

5.1.1 The resistance value of the damping core shall be agreed upon by both the supplier and the buyer. If the user does not make any requirements, the DC resistance value of the reactance core at 20℃ shall be greater than 3.2ka/m, and the DC resistance value of the resistance core at 20℃ shall be greater than 12.8kg/m. 5.1.2 The size of the damping core shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. 5.2 Insulation
5.2.1 The performance and appearance of the insulation shall comply with the requirements of GB/T14820.1. 5.2.2 The nominal thickness of insulation shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. 5.2.3 For QGZXV and QGZXF type wires, the insulated core is allowed to use a braided layer. The thickness of the braided layer embedded in the insulation and sheath is not subject to the thickness assessment. 5.3 Sheath
5.3.1 The performance and appearance of the sheath shall comply with the requirements of GB/T14820.1. 5.3.2 The nominal thickness of the sheath shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. 5.4 Finished wires
5.4.1 The outer diameter of the finished wire shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. 5.4.2 The finished wire shall be subjected to the water immersion power frequency voltage test specified in Table 3, and the test duration is 5 minutes. Table 3

5.4.7 The wire shall be subjected to heat shrinkage test, the test temperature is 155±2℃, the duration is 15min, the shrinkage rate shall not exceed 2%, and there shall be no cracks on the wire surface.
5.4.8 The wire shall be subjected to combustion test, the combustion time is 30s, after the flame is removed, the burning of the sample shall be extinguished within 30s. 5.4.9 The wire shall be subjected to low temperature flexibility test.
