This standard specifies the basic types and dimensions of disc gear milling cutters. This standard applies to disc gear milling cutters with a reference tooth angle of 20° and a module of 0.3~16mm. 2 Referenced Standards

Each module milling cutter consists of a set of 8 or 15 cutter numbers. The range of the number of teeth of the gear milled by each cutter number is listed in Table 2.

The keyway size and tolerance of the milling cutter shall comply with the provisions of GB/T6132. For milling cutters with a module not greater than 2mm, it is allowed not to have a keyway. 6
