Safety Signs
(GB2894-1996 replaces GB2894-88)
Since the implementation of GB2894 "Safety Signs" approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision, it has played a positive role in reminding people to pay attention to unsafe factors and preventing accidents. However, the continuous changes in international and domestic situations require further revision of the current national standard "Safety Signs". This standard adopts all the safety signs in IS03864:1984 "Safety Colors and Safety Signs", and also absorbs similar foreign standards. In combination with my country's national conditions, 20 original safety signs have been cancelled. In order to be consistent with GB10001-94 "Graphic Symbols for Public Information Signs" and GB13495-92 "Fire Safety Signs", the "Emergency Exit" graphic sign has been changed to be the same as the "Graphic Symbols for Public Information Signs"; the "Fire Alarm Button", "Fire Alarm Phone", "Fire Extinguisher", "Fire Hose", "Ground Fire Hydrant", "Fire Pump Connector", and "No Firecrackers" signs have been specified in the "Fire Safety Signs" and are no longer included in this standard. It will be implemented from October 1, 1996.
This standard will replace GB2894-88 from the date of entry into force. Appendix A and Appendix B of this standard are reminder appendices. This standard was proposed and managed by the Ministry of Labor of the People's Republic of China. This standard was drafted by the Beijing Institute of Labor Protection Science. The main drafters of this standard are: Li Shuxian, Liu Chengpu, Shan Chunchang, Liang Xiaozhen, Ma Chunhua, Xia Chuan Shou. This standard was first issued in 1982 and revised for the first time in 1988. 1 Scope
This standard specifies signs for conveying safety information. This standard applies to industrial and mining enterprises, construction sites, in-plant transportation and other places where it is necessary to remind people to pay attention to safety. 2 Referenced standards
The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. All standards will be revised, and the parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest versions of the following standards. GB2893-82 Safety colors
