Technical Specifications for Digital Audio Source Coding
The specifications for digital audio source codingThis standard is equivalent to the CCIR646 Recommendation "Digital Audio Source Coding for Broadcasting Studios". 1 Subject Content and Scope of Application
This standard specifies the basic technical requirements for digital audio source coding. GB/T14919—1994
This standard applies to digital audio source coding for radio stations, television studios, recording studios and similar studios and recording studios. This standard can be used as a technical basis for the design, production and management of digital audio equipment for radio and television. 2 Terminology
2.1 Digital signaldigital signal
A signal that uses a finite number of digits to represent a continuously changing physical quantity2.2 Samplingsampling
The discrete value of a continuous variable obtained at equal or arbitrary time intervals. 2.3 Sampling frequencysamplingfrequencyThe frequency at which a physical quantity is sampled, that is, the number of samples per unit time. 2.4 Quantization
The sampling value of an analog signal is represented by a set of finite numbers of levels. 2.5 PCM codingPCM coding
Sampling and quantizing analog data signals, and representing binary numbers as pulse sequences. 3 Technical content
3.1 In various applications in broadcast studios, including digital coding of recorded sound signals, the sampling frequency value is 48kHz. 3.2 In television applications, the digital coding of sound signals also has a sampling value of 48kHz. 3.3 When a digital audio device works independently, the maximum error of its internal sampling frequency is ±1X10-5. 3.4 In various applications of sound broadcasting and television, when digital audio devices are interconnected, measures must be taken to lock their internal sampling frequency clock with external sampling frequency (such as television synchronization signal, main clock of broadcast main control room, high-precision clock in telecommunication network). 3.5 The encoding method used is at least equivalent to PCM16bit uniform accuracy. 3.6 No pre-emphasis network is used.
Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on January 26, 1994 and implemented on September 1, 1994
