The width and allowable deviation of printing ribbons with a width not exceeding 19 mm are shown in Table 1. Table 1

3 Width measurement method

3.1 Before measuring, the ribbon should be placed on a flat support so that the ribbon is ready for use and the ribbon should be stretched and not pulled too tight. For ribbons with a width greater than 10 mm, the measurement should be made every 2 m along the entire length. For ribbons with a width less than 10 mm, the measurement should be made at five different positions along the entire length. Then, the arithmetic mean of the measurement results is taken as the final measurement result. 3.2 When measuring ribbons with a width less than 70 mm, the measuring equipment should be accurate to u.1 mm. 3.3 For ribbons with a width greater than 70 mm, a metric ruler should be used for measurement. Additional remarks:
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry. This standard was revised by Huzhou Yongshen Silk Weaving Factory and the Fourth Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry. The main drafters of this standard are Lu Shuhao and Wang Lichuang.
