"Die casting die parts" Part 16: Flat push rods This part specifies the dimensions and tolerances of flat push rods for die casting dies. This part applies to flat push rods used in die casting dies. This part also gives material guidelines and hardness requirements, and specifies the marking of flat push rods. 2 Normative references

Amendments (excluding errata) or revisions are not applicable to this part. However, parties to an agreement based on this part are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used. Surface roughness not specified Ra-6. 3 μm. The radius of the circle is less than 10 mm.

The material is selected by the manufacturer, and 4Cr5MoSiV1.3Cr2W8V is recommended. Hardness 45HRC~50 HRC.

The surface can be nitrided after quenching, the depth of the nitriding layer is 0.08mm~0.15mm, the core hardness is 40HRC~44HRC, and the surface hardness is ≥900 HV.
5 Technical requirements
Should comply with the provisions of GB/T4679-2003.
6 Marking
Flat push rods according to this part shall have the following markings: a)
Flat push rod;
Thickness a and width b of the flat push rod, in millimeters; length L of the flat push rod, in millimeters; thickness h of the head of the flat push rod, in millimeters; code of this part, i.e. GB/T4678.16--2003. e)
