This standard specifies the position and width of the gaps of the recording heads and playback heads on 35mm magnetic films with three tracks, four tracks and six tracks, and also specifies the head azimuth, the running direction of the magnetic film and the direction of the magnetic coating. This standard applies to the recording and playback of three tracks, four tracks and six tracks on 35mm magnetic films dedicated to movies. 2 Terminology
Magnetic film
Special magnetic sound carrier made according to the geometric dimensions and perforation specifications of movie films. 3 Direction of magnetic coating
The running direction of the magnetic film is shown in Figures 1 to 3, with the magnetic coating facing upward. 4: Head azimuth
The angle between the center line of the gap of the recording or playback head and the running direction of the magnetic film should be 90°±3°, and the center line of the gap of the multi-channel magnetic head must be calibrated on the straight line.
5 Position and width of the head gap
The position and width of the gap between the recording head and the playback head are shown in Figures 1 to 3 and Tables 1 to 3. 6 Track usage
6.1 Mono recording - usually uses the first track of the three tracks for recording (as shown in Figure 1 and Table 1). 6.2 The usage of stereo recording tracks is as follows, approved by the National Technical Supervision Bureau on December 28, 1994 and implemented on August 1, 1995

In actual work, there are many different ways to use the six-track format, so the use method of the track should be clearly marked on each disk.
Note: The number and use method of the track should be marked on the reel and the box. Additional instructions
