This standard is based on ISO /c0po1co1984 Document No. 77 Annex 3 "Consumer Requirements for Graphical Symbols" was formulated. 1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the principles and general requirements for the design and application of consumer-related graphic symbols, as the basis for the design of consumer-related graphic symbols. bZxz.net
This standard only applies to graphic symbols related to consumers and does not apply to other graphic symbols. Graphic symbols related to consumers include:
a. Graphical symbols appearing on consumer products, their packaging and instructions: b. Use graphic symbols to write consumer-related public and service places. Its function is to help consumers identify, use, install, store, and maintain products; to provide consumers with public service information, especially safety and other risk warnings.
2 Design requirements for consumer-related graphic symbols 2.1 When designing consumer-related graphic symbols, the necessity should be determined to avoid too many graphic symbols, which may cause difficulties for consumers to recognize and remember.
2.2 Graphic symbols related to consumers should be eye-catching, clear, easy to understand, easy to distinguish and remember. 2.3 Graphic symbols related to consumers should be simplified as much as possible on the premise of visualization. 2.4 Designers must comprehensively and correctly understand the usage environment of graphic symbols, and design graphic symbols suitable for consumers according to specific situations. When necessary, graphic symbols may be made into a tactile model or an equivalent touchable device may be attached. 2.5 During the design process, graphic symbols must be verified among consumers, and if necessary, they should also be verified among "weak" consumers (for example, children, illiterate people, disabled people, etc.). 2.6 When necessary, brief text can be used to assist in explaining the meaning of graphic symbols (especially when it comes to consumer health and safety) to facilitate consumers' understanding of the meaning of the symbols.
When using text descriptions, the correspondence between the graphic symbols and the text descriptions should be clearly shown. 2.7 When designing graphic symbols related to consumers, standardized graphic symbols should be used as much as possible, and groups of graphic symbols that must be used at the same time should be coordinated.
3 Application requirements for graphic symbols related to consumers 3.1 In different types of products and different usage scopes, the same functions should be represented by the same graphic symbols. 3.2 The graphic symbol and the product trademark should be clearly different in appearance, and there should be an appropriate spacing when the two are juxtaposed. 3.3 In order to make [graphic symbols eye-catching and clear, the tonal contrast between the symbols and the background must be ensured. Especially for various types of personal safety [shaped symbols], they must comply with the relevant provisions of GB2893-82 "Safety Colors". 3.4 In order to prevent graphic symbols from fading or even being damaged under natural conditions and human actions, attention should be paid to production technology and appropriate protective measures should be taken to extend the service life.
