This standard is a revision of GB5461—1992 Edible Salt.
This standard is not equivalent to rOCT13830--1984 Edible Salt. This standard adds the calculation of whiteness and chemical indicators by wet basis percentage, and stipulates the limits of hygienic indicators for the raw materials, production process and product quality of edible salt in my country. This standard has been revised to delete the third-grade products of common salt, crushed washing salt and sun-dried salt, and adjust the indicators of potassium iodate, particle size, whiteness and some chemical components.
From the date of implementation, this standard will replace GB5461—1992. This standard is proposed by the State Bureau of Light Industry.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Sea and Lake Salt Standardization Center and is responsible for its interpretation. The drafting units of this standard are: National Sea and Lake Salt Standardization Center, National Well and Mine Salt Standardization Center. The main drafters of this standard are: Liu Zhida, Chen Sujuan, Zhang Nengjun, Wang Zhibin, Fu Shuying. 3 Product classification
Edible salt is crystalline sodium chloride for consumption. Edible salt can be divided into refined salt, crushed washing salt, and sun-dried salt according to its production and processing methods. According to its grade, it can be divided into: superior grade, first grade, and second grade. Molecular formula: NaCl

2) For residents in high iodine areas and people who are not suitable for iodized salt, the iodine content of non-iodized edible salt should be less than 5mg/kg. The packaging should be marked accordingly. Other technical indicators remain unchanged.
5 Test method
The reagents and water used in this method, unless otherwise specified, refer to analytical pure reagents and grade 3 water specified in GB/T6682. The standard solutions, impurity standard solutions, preparations and products required in the test, unless otherwise specified, are prepared in accordance with the provisions of GB/T601, GB/T602 and GB/T603. 5.1 Determination of particle size
Perform according to GB/T13025.1.

Perform according to GB/T13025.2.
5.3 Determination of moisture content
According to the provisions of GB/T13025.3.
5.4 Determination of water-insoluble matter content

5.15 Calculation of sodium chloride and water-soluble impurities and inspection of test results The percentage of individual ions contained in the edible salt sample is obtained from the above test results, and then the compound components are calculated according to the sequence numbers noted in Table 2. The sum of the calculated calcium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, sodium sulfate, calcium chloride, and magnesium chloride is the content of water-soluble impurities, and the remaining chloride ions are calculated as the sodium chloride content.

If a compound cannot be formed due to the absence of anions or cations when calculating by sequence number, the calculation is carried out in sequence with the next sequence number, and the result is calculated to the third decimal place and then taken to the second place. When the sum of the percentage of the test compound plus the water insoluble matter and the water content (weight loss after drying plus residual crystal water or 600C burning determination value) is 99.50% to 100.40%, the analysis data is considered to be established. After edible salt is dried at 140C, its residual crystal water is calculated as calcium sulfate containing half of one crystal water, magnesium sulfate containing 1 crystal water, magnesium chloride containing 2 crystal waters, and calcium chloride containing 2 crystal waters. After edible salt is dried at 110℃, its residual crystal water is calculated as calcium sulfate containing half of one crystal water, magnesium sulfate containing 2 crystal waters, magnesium chloride containing 4 crystal waters, and calcium chloride containing 2 crystal waters. 6 Inspection rules
6.1 Batch
Products of the same grade produced by the same processing method and delivered at one time constitute a batch. 6.2 Before edible salt products leave the factory (farm), they shall be inspected batch by batch by the inspection department of the production factory (farm) or sales department in accordance with the provisions of this standard. After passing the inspection, a quality certificate shall be attached inside (outside) the package, and the product can leave the factory (farm). 6.3 Sampling method and quantity
According to the provisions of GB/T8618.
6.4 The quality of edible salt products shall be based on the quality tested at the time of product delivery. When the supply and demand parties have objections to the quality of the product, the supply and demand parties shall jointly entrust the arbitration unit to submit it, and the inspection and judgment shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of this standard. 194

6.5 The net content of the edible salt product packaging and the quality deviation marked on it shall comply with the requirements of the "Regulations on Metrology Supervision of Quantitative Packaged Commodities" promulgated by the state.
6.6 If one of the indicators (or two indicators among particle size, whiteness and water-soluble impurities) in the test results does not meet the requirements of this standard, a spare sample of the same batch of products shall be taken and retested according to the unqualified items. If the retest still fails to meet the minimum level requirements of this type of product, the batch of products shall be judged as unqualified.
7 Packaging, marking, transportation and storage
7.1 Large packaging of edible salt must use cartons or woven bags lined with polyethylene film, and each piece weighs 25kg or 50kg. The packaging shall be accompanied by a certificate of conformity or a qualified label, and indicate: the name and address of the manufacturer, the name of the product, the quantity, the batch number, and the name (code) of the inspector. 7.2 For small packaging of edible salt, polyethylene plastic bags, paper boxes, plastic boxes (bottles) (non-toxic) may be used, and each piece weighs 1000g, 500g, 250g or less. The small packaging must be marked with the elements specified in GB7718 and affixed with the iodized salt anti-counterfeiting mark. 7.3 The transportation vehicles for edible salt must be clean and dry. The equipment must be tied firmly during transportation to ensure that it is intact. It is forbidden to mix it with goods that may cause salt pollution. The relevant responsible parties shall be responsible for damage and quality degradation caused by transportation. 7.4 Edible salt must be properly kept during storage. The storage warehouse should be ventilated to prevent rain and moisture. The stacked edible salt should be covered above and have partitions below. It is forbidden to store it together with goods that may cause salt pollution. 195
