Summary:
This standard specifies the sampling method and test method for the quality inspection of washed feathers and down. This standard is applicable to the determination of down, landfowl hair, different-colored down, long-hair pieces, duck feathers (down) in goose feathers (down), down silk, impurity content, and the detection of physical and chemical indicators such as fluffiness, moisture content, residual fat content, cleanliness, oxygen consumption, odor, microorganisms (mesophilic aerobic bacteria, fecal streptococci, sulfite-reduced Clostridium, Salmonella) of washed feathers and down.
