GB/T4897 particleboard is divided into seven parts: * Part t: Common requirements for all board types: front height
--Part 2: Requirements for ordinary boards used in dry state--Part 3: Requirements for furniture and interior decoration boards used in dry state; ~ Part 1: Requirements for structural boards used in explosive state; . Part 5: Requirements for structural boards used in wet state---Part 6: Requirements for reinforced structural boards used in dry medium state, ----- Part 7 Requirements for reinforced structural boards used in wet state. This part is the second part of GB/T4897 particleboard. This part is not equivalent to the European standard EN312-2:1997 "particleboard part 2: requirements for ordinary boards used in dry state". The physical and chemical performance indicators are the same as EN312.2 except for the increase of surface bonding strength and 2h water absorption thickness expansion rate. The size change detection items are included in this part.
This part replaces the corresponding part of GB/T4897·…1992 Particleboard. Compared with the previous version (GB/T4897--1992), GB/T4897·2003 Particleboard has the important technical change of dividing the original standard into seven parts, among which the requirements for structural plates used in a wet state and the requirements for reinforced structural plates used in a wet state are newly added. The physical and chemical performance requirements of this part are lower than those of the standard. This part is proposed by the State Forestry Department.
This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Wood-Based Panels. The responsible drafting unit of this part: Wood Industry Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Forestry. The participating drafting units of this part: Beijing Timber Factory, Hebei Saibo Board Industry Group, the main drafters of this part are Chen Shiying, Long Ling, Zheng Fengshan, and Zhang Ehao. This part was first issued in February 1985, revised for the first time in August 1992, and this is the second revision. This part is entrusted to the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Wood-Based Panels for responsible interpretation. 1 Scope

Particleboard Part 2: Requirements for general-purpose boards used in a dry state This part of GB/T4897 specifies the technical requirements, statistical calculation and determination methods, measurement and test methods, inspection regulations, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and marking of general-purpose boards used in a dry state. This part applies to particleboards as defined in 3.2 of GB/T4897.12003. This part does not apply to oriented side board (OSB). 2 Normative references

3.1 Thickness, width, difference between two diagonals, curvature, appearance quality and common hole index should meet the requirements of 5.1~5.5 in GB/T4897.1--2003.
