Summary:
This standard specifies the required sanitary protection distance between crematoriums and residential areas. This standard applies to new crematoriums located in plains and hilly areas, as well as the expansion and reconstruction of existing crematoriums. Existing crematoriums can refer to this standard for implementation. The sanitary protection distance of crematoriums located in complex terrain conditions should be determined jointly by the competent department of the construction unit and the health and environmental protection authorities of the municipality or autonomous region where the construction project is located based on the atmospheric environment quality evaluation report. Some standard content:
GB 18081--2000
The technical content of this standard is mandatory. Foreword
The standard for the sanitary protection distance of industrial enterprises is a comprehensive standard involving construction planning, general layout of industrial construction, environmental sanitation, and sanitary engineering. Its purpose is to ensure that the pollutants generated by national key low-end industrial enterprises after the project is put into production will not affect the health of people in residential areas. This standard is based on the characteristics of various harmful factors, finds out the occurrence, diffusion, dilution, attenuation, degradation and other characteristics of harmful factors, and then determines the allowable emission intensity of industrial enterprises based on the principle of best practical technology, that is, according to the treatment measures and maintenance management measures that can be achieved at my country's current economic level, and finally selects the appropriate atmospheric diffusion model and corresponding parameters to determine the required sanitary protection distance. This standard shall be implemented from January 1, 2001. This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. The responsible drafting units of this standard are: Yichang Municipal Health and Epidemic Prevention Station, Hubei Province, and the Institute of Environmental Sanitation and Sanitary Engineering, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine.bzxz.net
The main drafters of this standard are: Cao Yuxin and Shao Qiang. This standard is entrusted by the Ministry of Health to the Institute of Environmental Sanitation Monitoring, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine for interpretation. 254

Health protection zone standard for crematoriums
Health protection zone standard for crematoriums This standard specifies the required health protection distance between crematoriums and residential areas. GB18081—2000
This standard applies to new crematoriums located in plains and hilly areas and the expansion and reconstruction of existing crematoriums. Existing crematoriums shall be implemented as a reference. The health protection distance of crematoriums located in complex terrain conditions shall be determined jointly by the competent department of the construction unit and the health and environmental protection departments of the province, municipality or autonomous region where the construction project is located based on the atmospheric environment quality evaluation report. 2 Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions.
2.1 Health protection distance healih praleetion zone The minimum distance from the boundary of the department (vehicle or work section) where harmful factors are generated to the boundary of the residential area, 3 Standard content
3.1 The health protection distance of the crematorium is specified according to the average wind speed and annual corpse burning volume in the area in the past five years, as shown in Table 1. Table 1
Annual corpse burning volume, with
>4 000
Average wind speed in the past five years in the area, I1/s2~4
3.2 The location of the crematorium and the residential area specified in this standard should also consider the influence of factors such as wind frequency and terrain, so as to minimize its pollution to the atmospheric environment of the residential area.
Approved by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision on April 10, 2000 and implemented on January 1, 2001
