This standard specifies the test equipment, sample preparation, test steps, test results and evaluation for the spark test of extruded anti-corrosion protective sheaths. This standard is applicable to the inspection of the sealing of anti-corrosion sheaths extruded on the outside of metal sheaths or metal clamping layers. The general requirements, definitions and periodic calibration requirements for the electrical performance test of wires and cables are specified in GB/T3048.1. 2 Reference standards

5 Test steps
5.1 The spark test should be carried out during the process of extruding the corrosion protection sheath, or it can be carried out separately on the spark test machine. 5.2 When using a power frequency or high frequency spark test machine for testing, the metal sheath or armor of the tested cable should be grounded. When using a DC spark test machine for testing, the metal sheath or armor of the tested cable should be connected to the negative pole of the DC power supply. 5.3 The cable corrosion protection sheath shall be continuously passed through the spark test machine, and any point on the surface of the corrosion protection sheath shall be subjected to the test voltage specified in Table 1.
