Summary:
This standard specifies the principles for the use of emergency evacuation auditory signals and two parameters: the instantaneous diagram and the sound level at all points within the predetermined signal receiving area. This standard is applicable to situations where personnel within the signal receiving area are alerted to emergency situations (such as leakage of flammable or toxic gases, explosions, nuclear radiation, earthquakes, and building collapses, etc.), and are warned to immediately evacuate buildings or workplaces. 3 Principles of use of emergency auditory signals
3.1 Only used in an emergency to inform all personnel in all buildings or workplaces in the receiving area to evacuate immediately.
3,2 It can only be used for those sections or floors that are evacuated immediately, and it is not applicable to the front or floors of partial evacuation or batch evacuation. 3.3 The emergency evacuation auditory stop signal shall not be used in the following situations. With the approval of the security department, in an emergency, the building may be evacuated, which means that personnel are transferred from the affected area to a safe area in a planned manner inside the building, or they find a protective place on their own (high-rise buildings, hospital wards and prisons, etc.).
4 Requirements for emergency evacuation auditory signals
4.1 Sound level instantaneous graph of emergency evacuation auditory signal 4.1.1 Relationship between sound level instantaneous graph and sound-generating device The emergency evacuation auditory signal is preferably a "pulse\instantaneous graph" applied to any appropriate sounder by means of centralized control. 4.1.1.1 In the case where a sounder (such as a warning auditory signal generator) already exists, it should be verified that the sound signal emitted by the sounder can meet the clear audibility requirements specified in 5.2.1 of GB1251.1 within the signal receiving area; when selecting a newly installed sounder, it is also required that the signal receiving area meets the clear audibility requirements.

The "three-pulse" sound level instantaneous diagram is composed of three "on" phases and "off" phases separated by two "off" phases; the duration of the "on" and "off" phases is 0.5 (1+10%)5, the duration of the phase is 1.51+10%, and the signal period is 4.0 (1±10%). See the figure below. 1530

4.1.3 The specified striking time when using a percussion instrument is],s
The instantaneous period of the emergency evacuation auditory signal issued by a percussion instrument (such as bells, gongs and drums, etc.) is one action per 1.0 (1±10%), and there is a pause of 2.0 (1±10%)s after the third action, see Appendix A (reference). 4.1.4 Instantaneous diagram of emergency evacuation auditory signal used by electronic sounders designed for new systems. 4.2.1 In the same signal receiving area, other signals (such as alarm signals) should be clearly distinguished from the three-pulse emergency evacuation auditory signal to prevent confusion.
4.2.2 In an emergency, the alarm issued for areas or floors that are not to be evacuated should be significantly different from the "one-pulse" characteristics of the emergency evacuation auditory signal.
4.3 Sound level
4.3.1 At all points in the signal receiving area, the A sound level of the emergency evacuation auditory signal measured by the time-weighted fast (F) mode should be 15dB higher than the highest average A sound level of the ambient noise for 60 seconds, and should not be lower than F65dB (see GB1251.1). 4.3.2 When the average A sound level of the ambient sound is higher than 110dB, it shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 5. 4.3.3 When using the emergency evacuation auditory signal to wake up sleeping personnel, the A sound level at the head of the bed shall not be lower than 75dB when the door is tightly closed.
Note: 75 dR is insufficient to keep all the people sleeping in the room. 4.4 Frequency
4.4.1 Due to the diversity of the spectrum of environmental noise in various occasions, it cannot be stipulated that the emergency evacuation auditory signal only uses certain spectrum components or cannot use certain spectrum components.
