1 Scope
Determination of filling value of expanded stem shreds
This standard specifies the method for determining the filling value of expanded stem shreds of cigarettes. This standard applies to expanded stem shreds of cigarettes.

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Filling value of stem The volume occupied by the expanded stem of cigarette under the continuous action of a certain time and a certain pressure per unit mass. 4 Principle
Put a certain mass of expanded stem in a measuring barrel and measure the volume maintained by the expanded stem under the action of a certain time and a certain pressure. 5 Instruments and equipment
The expanded stem filling value measuring instrument should meet the following conditions: 5.1
a) Measuring barrel: cylindrical, with smooth and clean inner wall. Inner diameter 60.0mm±0.1mm, height not less than 100mm. b) Force probe: smooth and clean surface, able to produce a uniform pressure of 9.80N±0.10N on the sample, probe diameter 55.0mm±0.1mm.
Pressure speed: 19.5mm/s±0.5mm/s. c)
d) Filling value sensor: can accurately measure the sample column height, accurate to 0.01mm; display filling value accurate to 0.01mL/g. e) Time controller: time control accuracy is ±0.5s resolution 1s, and can meet the requirements of 30.0s±0.2s. 5.2 Balance: sensitivity is 0.01g.
5.3 Standard gauge block: height is 20.0mm, height accurate to 0.01mm. 6 Sample collection and sample processing
6.1 Sampling point: at the outlet of expanded stem silk air selection. 6.2 The sample for each test shall not be less than 500g. Before testing, the moisture content of the sample should be adjusted according to (GB/T16447, so that the moisture content of the sample reaches 12.5%±0.5%.
6.3 Spread the laboratory sample with adjusted moisture content into a square of about 30cmX30cm, divide the sample into four parts along the diagonal of the square, take two of them, and then take half of them as samples according to the above method. 7 Measurement steps

7.2 Set the probe force application time to 30.0s by pressing the button, set the number of tests to 10, and then perform zero calibration. 7.3 Take a sample, weigh 10.0g of the test material, the error range is not more than 0.02g, And place the sample in the measuring barrel. 7.4 Press the test button to drive the force probe, so that the sample is subjected to a uniform pressure of 9.80N ± 0.10N. 5 Repeat steps 7.3 to 7.4 for a total of ten tests. 7.5
