Summary:
This standard specifies the dimensions of uncut impact test specimens for sintered metal materials. The specimens can be made by direct pressing and sintering, or by machining sintered products. This standard applies to all kinds of sintered metals and alloys except cemented carbide. However, for some sintered materials with very low porosity or high ductility, it is more appropriate to use specimens with U or V-shaped notches for impact tests. In this case, the dispersion of the test results is small (refer to GB 229-84 "Metal Charpy (U-shaped notch) impact test method" or GB 2106-80 "Metal Charpy (V-shaped notch) impact test method"). GB5318--85
This standard specifies the dimensions of sintered metal materials unnotched impact test piece. The test piece can be made by directly pressing and sintering, or it can be made by machining sintered products. bzxz.net
This standard adopts the international standard ISO5754-1980 "Sintered metal materials (excluding hardmetals)-Unnotched impact test piece".
1 Scope of application and others
1.1 This standard applies to various sintered metals and alloys except hardmetals. However, for some sintered materials with very low porosity or high ductility, it is more appropriate to use a U- or V-notch specimen for impact testing. In this case, the test results are less dispersed (refer to GB229-84 "Metal Charpy (U-notch) impact test method" or GB2106-80 "Metal Charpy (V-notch) impact test method".
1.2 The impact test results of porous sintered materials may not be very accurate and should not be compared with the results obtained from dense metal isolation tests.
2 Sample size
The sample size is shown in the table.
55 ±1
10 ± 0.2
To identify the pressing direction, the specimen should be marked. The impact direction should be perpendicular to the pressing direction (unless otherwise specified), and the impact specimen should be tested on a Charpy impact testing machine. Additional notes:
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of the People's Republic of China and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation. This standard was drafted by the Iron and Steel Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and the Beijing Institute of Powder Metallurgy. The main drafters of this standard are Zheng Shuying, Tian Shuyan and Jiang Zhenchun. Issued by the State Bureau of Standards on August 24, 1985
Implementation on July 1, 1986
