This standard lists the relevant statistical quantities and units in the production, operation and sales of cigarettes. The parties using this standard can select and expand it according to the actual situation and the requirements of the industry competent authorities. This standard shall be implemented from the date of its release.
This standard is proposed by the Cigarette Technical Committee of the National Tobacco Standardization Technical Committee. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Tobacco Standardization Technical Committee. The drafting units of this standard are: the Science and Education Department of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, the National Tobacco Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, and the China Tobacco Standardization Research Center. In order to adapt to the situation after my country joins the World Trade Organization, accelerate the alignment of cigarette statistics and units with international practices, promote the development of international trade, and reduce the adverse effects on trade caused by differences in statistics and units, through a survey of relevant industrial and commercial enterprises in the industry, it is decided to change the current cigarette statistics units based on "boxes" and "10,000 boxes" to statistical units based on "sticks", "10,000 sticks", and "100 million sticks". This standard proposes various statistical quantities by classification, and users can expand and use them according to the principles of this standard and the specific requirements of the industry's competent authorities.

This standard specifies the basic measurement units for cigarettes and cigars. This standard applies to the production, operation, scientific research, statistics and management of cigarettes and cigars in the tobacco industry. 2 Quantity statistics and units
2.1 The basic measurement units for the quantity statistics of cigarettes and cigars are "sticks", "10,000 sticks" and "100 million sticks". YC/T148—2002bzxZ.net
2.2 The production, sales, inventory, circulation process of cigarettes and cigars and other statistics that only contain the number of cigarette sticks can be expressed in "sticks", "10,000 sticks" or "100 million sticks" as needed. When the quantity is between 1 and 10*, it is appropriate to use "sticks", when the quantity is between 10* and 10\, it is appropriate to use "100 million sticks", when the quantity is above 108, it is appropriate to use "100 million sticks".
Note: The statistical units for production capacity, physical labor productivity, elimination capacity and labor quota of cigarettes and cigars shall be calculated in accordance with the provisions of 2.2. 2.3 The number of cigarettes shall be indicated by “sticks” on the packaging of cigarette and cigar boxes, strips, trays, etc. 2.4 The consumption of various raw and auxiliary materials for cigarettes and cigars, such as tobacco leaves, paper, tow, filter rods, etc., shall be calculated in terms of the consumption of raw and auxiliary materials per “10,000 sticks” of cigarettes and cigars. 2.5 The financial data such as sales revenue, profit, tax and cost of units of cigarettes and cigars shall be calculated in terms of “10,000 sticks” of cigarettes and cigars. 379
