This standard specifies the allowances and tolerances of open die forgings on hydraulic presses—Ring. JB/T9179.8--1999
Replaces ZBJ32003.8--88
This standard is applicable to the ring forgings which are completed through the final drilling process and the part size meets the requirements of d0.5D and H≤1.2D. 2 Allowances and tolerances

3.1When the part size D≤3000mm, the forging wall thickness B=(D一d)/2+α shall not be less than 0.054D and greater than 100mm. When the part size D>3000mm, the forging wall thickness must be equal to or greater than 165mm. 4 Application example
Calculate the size of the forging of a ring:
The size of the part is: D=2000mm, d=1500 mm, H.=250mm. The margin and limit deviation are 48mm±16mm. The basic size of the forging is:
Di=2000+482048mm(take 2050mm)
Limit deviation±16mm;
d,-1500-48×1.2=1442mm(take 1440mm)Limit deviation±19mm;
H-250+48=298mm(take 300mm)
Limit deviation±16mm.
