GB/T 5008 This part specifies the dimensions and markings of the positive and negative terminals of lead-acid batteries for starting. This part applies to vented (liquid-flooded) lead-acid batteries and valve-controlled (gas-recombined) batteries with a rated voltage of 12V for starting, ignition and lighting of various automobiles, tractors and other internal combustion engines. This part does not apply to batteries used for other purposes, such as starting batteries for railway diesel locomotives.
