Test method for relative tinting strength ofplastics gravure printing inksSubject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the test method for the tinting strength of gravure plastic inks. This standard is applicable to the test of the tinting strength of gravure plastic inks. 2 Principle
GB/T 13217. 6— 91
Dilute the test sample and the standard sample with quantitative standard white ink respectively, and compare the tinting strength of the diluted ink scraping sample, and express it in percentage. 3 Materials
3.1 Scraping paper: 160mm×60mm, 65g/m2 illustrated newspaper. 3.2 Standard white ink and standard black ink [see Appendix A (Supplement)]. 3.3 Scrubbing solvent: ethanol or gasoline.
4 Instrument
4.1 Glass rod 7mm, length 250mm.
4.2 Weighing bottle: capacity 50mL.
4.3 Pan balance: weigh 100g, sensitivity 0.1g. 4.4 Scraper.
5 Test conditions
5.1 The test should be carried out at a temperature of 25±1℃ and a temperature of 65%5%. 5.2 The test should be carried out under Dss standard lighting. 6 Test steps
6.1 On the pan balance, weigh 1g of sample ink and 10g of standard white ink with a weighing bottle. Using the same method and the same proportion, weigh the standard sample ink and standard white and black, and mix them thoroughly with a glass rod. 6.2 Take a small amount of the diluted and evenly mixed ink, and place it on the upper left of the scraping paper. Take a small amount of the sample and place it on the upper right of the scraping paper. The two are adjacent but not connected. Use a scraper to scrape from top to bottom until the ink is 80-100mm long. Reduce the inner angle of the scraper to make the ink a thicker ink layer, as shown in the figure.
Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on September 14, 1991 and implemented on August 1, 1992

Schematic diagram of dilution of tinting power
1-scraping paper; 2-diluted sample, 3--diluted standard sample: 4 thick ink layer 6.3 Observe whether the surface color and ink color of the sample and the standard sample are consistent. If not, change the amount of white ink used in the sample until the diluted sample and the standard sample are consistent. Calculate according to the following formula to obtain the percentage of the sample's tinting power. 6.4 After scraping the sample, observe the ink color within 30s. 7 Test result expression
Calculation formula of tinting power:
Where: S—tinting power percentage (with standard sample as 100%); C—amount of white ink used to dilute standard sample, g,
D——amount of white ink used to dilute test sample,.
When testing the tinting power of white ink, the standard sample and test sample are used to replace the white ink used above, but the white ink is changed to 10.g and the standard black ink is weighed to 1g. The operation method is the same as above, and the calculation formula is also the same as above, but C is the amount of white ink used for the test sample, and D is the amount of white ink used for the standard sample. 14
